“ My first time getting a seafood boil and it was sooo good! We got the special at the time which included snow crab clusters, shrimp, 2 potatoes, 2 corn and we added green mussels and crawfish. My only complaint is that the crawfish was a little too fishy and kinda sandy that day, but everything else was delightful. We also got the $7 mai tai which was really refreshing! We got the garlic noodles and dipping it in the Tasty special sauce (Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper mix) was soooo to die for! Our total came out to about $84 which isn't bad for the amount we got. Def recommend! Delicious! ”
“ I had the fried catfish with my sister-in-law and it was pretty good, I had a side of salad and cajun fries, the fries were okay, not as salty compared to other seafood boils, the salad was eh, but I liked the catfish here! I recommend it! Good service and nice and quiet ambiance. ”
“ My coworker had mentioned this place and I was excited to try it out because I love a good seafood boil. I was also super impressed by the prices and was told their to-go option was pretty decent. I placed an order on their app which you pay for when you pick up. My food came out hot and came with gloves and bibs! The portion was generous and I felt full with one serving. My honest favorite was dipping the potatoes and corn in the sauces. I had the mild/non-spicy garlic butter and liked it. There was heat and wasn't super garlic/buttery but it was really tasty. I would definitely dine in. It's the old Bonefish Grill location with plenty of parking. While you're there- check out the Hallmark store! They have the cutest items! ”
“ My first time trying seafood boil. Been craving so tried this place. There wasn't many people when we came in which I thought what kinda odd but later on it started to fill up. We came in on a Sunday for dinner. They had a weekend of 3 different options. We opt for the 1/2lb snow crab, shrimp and potatoes and corn. Then we ordered another combo of green mussels and crawfish. We got it with all 3 sauces and mild spicy and omg!! It was so delicious. We also got a side of the garlic noodles to pair with it. So so delicious. Service was ok. Our waitress barely came by but overall it was good. I would definitely have to come back. ”
“ Tasty crab has been my go to crab boil restaurant. The service is always the same. They are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The tables are spacious they give you tools for the crab which just makes it easier to eat. Everything is flavorful and always consistent! ”
“ The tasty crab is located in a place with plenty of parking. Getting into the lot was a little confusing as we had to come all the way around but when we did, we had to trouble finding parking. The restaurant itself looked very nice and clean. The chairs we sat it weren't super comfortable as the hardware under the cushion was coming out, I just repositioned myself in my seat. They had plenty of options of seafood and sides. Prices were usually for a seafood boil. Our server was kind and attentive and our food came out quick. It's comparable to the other seafood boils we've gone to on the city. I would go back if the city was too far of a drive. ”
“ My husband knew I was homesick after returning from my trip to Belize so he surprised me with dinner at this place tonight. It's where Bonefish Grill used to be and we both liked it better than the Boiler on Dempster. You're given three tools, metal dishes for your meals and a large tray to dump your seafood bag in so you don't have to deal with a mess on the table. We also got a tub for shells, gloves and wipes! Plus there's a napkin dispenser on the table. Much better than other places. We got a pound of snow crab, a pound of whole blue crab (seasonal, yum!) and a 1/2 pound of the headless shrimp in our choice of sauce. We were able to get hot Cajun seasoning on the side. The boils come with corn and potatoes. We also tried the gumbo. It wasn't bad, but it was a little too thin and not nearly as good as my husband makes, so we sent it back. Drinks were good, as was service from Rita. We enjoyed and will be back. ”
“ We were headed downtown on a weeknight, only to discover that our theater tickets had been for the matinee show when I thought I had gotten them for the evening performance. Oops! So we decided to make lemonade out of lemons, and try someplace new for dinner instead. We headed up to the Old Orchard area, and thanks to Yelp! found out there was a newish seafood place we hadn't tried yet. I am a crab lover, so the name was particularly appealing to me, and the reviews were really good. Not only were we happily satisfied, we were thrilled to find an amazing new place where Bonefish Grill used to be. Our server, Kevin, was the best. He explained everything in detail so we knew exactly what to expect, and treated us like royalty. I was very happy to see that they had king crab on the menu, and it was the perfect antidote for me to cure my blues after messing up on the theater tickets. I also added corn and sausage. I chose the mild garlic butter seasoning for the perfect combination. Some things that set this restaurant apart compared to others we have been to - three tools (scissors, a cracker, and a crab tool) were included for opening my crab legs; the bag wasn't just laid on the table, it came in a large round tray, so I could dump the contents into the tray and not mess with the bag; they provided a very large bucket for our shells; and we were given several pairs of plastic gloves and some nice large wet wipes to use throughout. I also liked that there was a napkin dispenser on the table, rather than a roll of paper towels. The crab legs were delicious, as were the corn and sausage. I finished the crab legs in the restaurant, ate part of the rest, and brought my leftovers home for a wonderful second serving. My husband tried both the fried clams and fried scallops, and declared them very good. He also said the Cajun fries that Kevin recommended were quite good. I topped my meal off with a couple glasses of Moscato, which were just the right amount of light and sweet to boost my mood. My husband had maitais, and said they were wonderful. He ended his meal with a piece of cheesecake (I may have had a few bites, too), and I just had another glass of Moscato. (Yum!) The meal completely made me forget the theater debacle, and now I can't wait to go back! ”
“ Food was great. I had to choose your own combo. I chose shrimp crawfish clams & sausage. Everything was tasty except the sausage I would recommend skipping that. It is a new restaurant with a fun decor. It wasn't too busy at 8:00 on a Friday. We were seated right away. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the service was a little off. They forgot utensils, messed up our drink order, didn't bring the graveyard bucket back. Nothing major just a lot of little things I think will improve once they become a little more established, they just opened at the beginning of the week. All and all we left full, and the meal was great would recommend ”
